Q. What is your fulfillment process?
We begin by designing our processes to fit the individual characteristics of each of our clients product and service needs. System updates for materials received into our inventory management system are completed within 12 hours; updates for materials received after 4 p.m. are completed by 11 a.m. the following day. On-Demand strives to accommodate any special requests for system updates. Processing time is greatly improved for clients who are able to require bar-coded labels from materials delivered by their vendors. On-Demand will scan images or digital photographs of new products and upload them to your administrative site within 48 to 72 hours of receipt.
All orders are processed through our Warehouse Management System (WMS) system, which applies your business rules (such as minimum and maximum quantities, rights access, and shipping methods) to produce a pick list, labels, packing list, and any variable documents required for shipments. Using a handheld scanning device, a designated order picker scans the order number and picks the items in the quantities requested. When the order is completed, the scanner automatically wirelessly updates the status to “picked” in the system. The order is then scanned into ODShip and the shipping information is transferred to the shipper selected informing them that the package is ready for pickup by the selected carrier. The tracking number is updated in the WMS system and the status “shipped” appears in the admin site we provide to our clients. An email is forwarded to the order recipient (if required) informing them that their order has shipped, providing the tracking information.
Q. Do you have web site access for ordering?
On-Demand provides Internet interfaces that seamlessly integrate web-ordering and fulfillment activity with individual client web sites and or their integration partner. Including but not limited to QuickBooks, Netsuites, Ecomdash, Skubana, Shopify, Wayfair, Overstock, and Amazon. Our sophisticated web technologies allow you to provide highly customized kits and personalized information to customers, prospects, and employees, and our WMS has a fully customizable, web-based user interface designed to meet specific client requirements.
Our WMS includes built-in technologies that address core fulfillment requirements, along with the flexibility to respond to on-demand activities such as pre-established and on-demand kit assembly, mailings, or any type of business launch with a peak season or volume surge.
